She is such a pleasure to work with, really understands my style, and is very knowledgeable. She helped me select the right neutral paint colors for my house to not only fit each room, but to have a consistent color palette across the main floor. I was hesitant to hire someone because I felt like I should be able to pick a neutral myself, but there are literally thousands out there. She showed me how not all neutrals are the same, the undertones really make a difference in the feel of the color, and she walked me through the selection process. Ultimately, she made me feel much more calm and confident in my decisions. We are still months away from completing our renovation, but when we are, I plan to bring her back in to help tweak the interior decorating.

We’re newbies who relocated from NYC and needed guidance navigating our differences in opinion 🙂 and also expertise on the effects of natural light, indoor light, placement and so forth. We had an outstanding experience with Jodi. She was a pleasure to work with from the very first call until the end of the engagement. She was knowledgeable, thorough, diligent, and efficient. She really listened to the look and feel we were trying to achieve and came to the appointment ready to go having done her due diligence ahead. I spent weeks (and money buying so many samples from Samplize & mental anguish) trying to find the right non-off white paint color for an open layout first floor with a beautiful yet complex kitchen that had a cabinet color that changed in light & various tones of grey in the backsplash. Jodi simplified the whole thing -- she did a great job of asking questions upfront about our goals, photos of the place, etc so she came prepared with already an idea of what could work which I really appreciated in terms of our time together during the visit. During her visit, she further narrowed down by applying her color science and amazing eye to find a color that met the feel we wanted but also matched everything else -- all our furniture, wood floors, cabinets, backsplash, etc.  Furthermore, I wasn't even thinking about the trim color other than a basic white. She helped us realize that a basic white trim could be too stark for the room & may make our off-white furniture look more cream against it.  She nailed the trim color - it's warm, inviting & flows with our off-white furniture.

I hired Jodi of Kelly Home Designs to guide me in choosing paint colors for my living and dining rooms. This was money well spent! Everyone knows how daunting it can be choosing color schemes... and you get frozen with indecision. Jodi came in, listed to my needs and worked with me to come up with some really perfect color schemes. She was very friendly and super easy to work with. She has experience with older homes and that was a huge plus for me. Colors were chosen and advice given based on my preferences and not what colors were "in" for the season. I also appreciated her non-judgmental demeanor. I've had other consultants in my home and frankly felt judged as if my project was beneath them. NOT the case with Kelly Home Designs.
